It is our wish that families be spared from anxiety, expense and inconvenience at the time of their loved ones death.

Please allow us the opportunity to introduce our company to the community. We are Select Caskets a new casket and monument store that opened on West Gray near Montrose Blvd. We have been assisting families in the Houston area with the final arrangements for their loved ones since 1988; and we are bilingual.

When a loved one passes, few people want to shop around for the best price on the casket. That’s why many people simply accept the price quoted by their funeral director. That’s also why many people end up paying too much for the casket.

Federal law allows third-party sales of caskets; in fact funeral homes are required to accept delivery of third-party caskets and cannot charge extra for their use.

Many families are unaware that private mausoleums, caskets, vaults, memorials and flowers can be purchased through individual companies like ours and have them sent to the funeral home of their choice and save thousands of dollars. We offer a wide variety of reasonable quality caskets. We also provide a comfortable and elegant atmosphere that’s dignified, giving families more value and service for their money.

Due to the nature of our business, many are reluctant to talk about death until it happens and may not be prepared for the awkward task of having to choose a funeral home and merchandise. We would like to offer our services via telephone or in person to answer questions about death and funerals.

We ask many families"If you had a death in your family yesterday, what would you be doing today?" As callous as it may sound many families do not know the answer to this question. Death is something that we can not predict, postpone or avoid. This is why we are here to help counsel families at (no cost) with their different options. Many families have seen the benefits of taking ten to fifteen minutes of their valuable time to discuss this delicate but necessary matter to be prepared for the most certain thing in life which is death. Being a well-informed consumer allows you to create a meaningful service for a love one and prevents emotional overspending.
